Well based on what I heard the Captain saved on the budget for his appearance by hiring only one writer for him. Poor bastard was not even union.

I highly doubt that you are fine but I confess I also struggle to see any way I could really help. If Giles is doing poorly I can hardly intrude on his space and just make the matter worse. Still.
